NEWBURY, Berkshire, UK, June 24th 2007 - Concurrent Systems Inc Ltd, a leading developer of multi-CAD design data, project and document management solutions, today announces that DesignDataManager (DDM) 2008.1 is now on general release. This new release brings a number of 'beneath the surface' improvements. Not only have the CAD integrations been updated to support the latest versions of each CAD application, also these integrations have been optimised giving some significant performance improvements. Little to low admin overhead has always been a focus for us and this release has some neat enhancement such as the silent client install/upgrade routine and the user profile preferences now stored server side. The benefit of these server side user preferences is that if a user logs on at another terminal, has an upgrade or has to rebuild their machine their preferences will all be loaded next time they login. Additional enhancements include multi-level BOM editing and an overhauled office document management interface that enables user to simply drag and drop documents and emails from MS Outlook directly onto the DDM interface. This is a single or multi select option that will saves users lots of time managing all of the documentation above and beyond the usual drawings and models. Via its development partner relationships and toolkit licenses, DesignDataManager continues to support the latest releases of the most popular CAD applications: - In addition DDM supports 64 bit support for Server installation and Vista Business/Ultimate editions for Client installation.
