PROJECT FOLDERS MANY USES
Project Folders was created to manage projects and keep things separated from other projects in the system. What you probably don't know is it was put in place to create the change process as well. You can create an Engineering Change Folder, add custom attributes that relate to your ECO Form, making these attributes compulsary or voluntary. DDM will track all this information and keep it safe. You can now add the drawings which have been changed and "send it" on for approval. The approval process is tracked and DDM keeps that record safe. All of this is searchable through DDM. Phase One of Engineering Change Notes is about to be released and it will auto populate your revision blocks on your formats if you set it up to do so. Phase Two will add email notification. Project Folders and custom attributes will allow you to create just about anything you want. Contact your reseller for more information.

Our users are looking forward to ECNs within DDM. :D
You seem to be aware of the development schedule. Any progress update? There is nothing on the main DDM site.

ECN PROJECT FOLDERS
DDM 2005 project folders will actually work with the ECN process now. The email notification is in beta test now and should be delivered by mid July. Contact your reseller to learn how to set up your ECN template and to be ready for the implementation. There are many upgrades relating to making the project folders more automated through the rest of this year and early next year and these will be released as they are finsihed instead of one major release way down the road.
