Load a bulk item from DDM into ProE
If I want to add an existing bulk item ie some adhesive to an assembly, I load a ProE bulk item from DDM, the relations window opens up as you'd expect but then it seems impossible to close it.
The work around I've found for this seems to be to export the bulk item to the working directory, and then open or insert it using ProE. Am I doing something wrong, I'd of thought it should be possible to load a bulk item form DDM as you would an ordinary part? |

RE: Load a bulk item from DDM into ProE
Hi Phil,
I am not seeing the same behaviour.. when I add a bulk item it just adds it to the model tree, the relations window does not open. (DDM 2010.1, ProE Wildfire 5.0) Just to check steps, I created an assembly in ProE and created a bulk item in session and added it to the assembly. When I saved the assembly to DDM I was prompted to save the 'new' bulk item, I gave it a part number and description and saved it. I now created a new assembly in ProE and loaded the bulk item from DDM, it was added straight to the model tree without any prompts as you would expect.. Please check following above procedure and see if you still have the same problem. Mark Mark Blatherwick Channel Manager CSI Ltd |
